KATHLEEN KRUCOFF

She’s never been one to color inside the lines so why should her work be constrained by any limits? Being creative is a way of life for Kathleen. Her work is comprised of silver, gold, natural stones, gemstones, and any material that calls to her in the creative process. From the very beginning of her journey as a metalsmith in 2008, one goal has been to create unique, wearable art. Kathleen considers the jewelry she makes to be personal adornments, as distinctive as the person who chooses to wear it. Her father was a landscaper and he taught her to love and respect nature. She thinks that is why you will find her designs tend to have an earthy, organic quality. Additionally, her maternal grandfather was a farrier, and she believes that because of him, the desire to work with metal exists naturally somewhere in her DNA.  While she grew up in Northern Illinois, today Kathleen calls Colorado home. The rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains has captured her heart.
